What is Earth Sciences?

Earth Sciences and Astronomy is the study of the earth, the atmosphere and with all their neighbors all. Because of the spherical earth, the various categories of earth science in different “spheres”, the planet will be shared. There are generally four major “spheres” by studying the Earth lithosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere, rocks, water, air and life is recognized.

The earth is not so much a science as it is combined in a scientific discipline. Geosciences are often due to the many different sciences, which are used are classified to learn about the Earth. Some of the major disciplines of earth sciences: geology, meteorology, environmental sciences, oceanography and astronomy.

Geology means “study of the Earth” and is considered the science of the mainland. Geology is all about the composition of Earth materials, structures and processes of the earth. Meteorology and Environmental Sciences is studying the Earth’s atmosphere and how the Earth weather and climate. Almost everyone is concerned about the weather, so that a science of meteorology easier and more fun. Astronomy is the exploration of our moon, the sun and the planets of our solar system and even includes solar systems beyond our own. Consider the space above the earth is important, because many of these celestial neighbors have a direct impact on our earth as the moon, which drives the system of ocean and tidal energy from the sun controls our weather and climate. Oceanography is a comprehensive study of the oceans, but is not included in this article.

Earth Sciences is one of the major branches or parts of scientific studies. Science is really simple and really only on the understanding of the world you live in. It can not scientists studying all aspects of this world we live in and many different areas of science that exists, it is all a bit overwhelming if not divided into categories. Categories, such as earth sciences, will allow scientists to focus on a range of related topics, and interact with others interested in similar problems and can better understand the science.

Earth Sciences can be separated into different sub-sectors such as astronomy and geology of the gravity and weather, among others. Each sub-sector, in turn, more specific areas. The concept of the earth and all the heavenly bodies around them was a concern of scientists and philosophers for millennia. An understanding and appreciation of the processes of the earth is essential for a responsible life on this planet. Geoscientists can find their knowledge of the Earth for energy and mineral resources, investigate the impact of human activities on the earth or the study of natural phenomena such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and hurricanes. Perhaps because the study of the earth usually about things that are easy to observe, most people find topics to understand Earth Sciences relatively simple, practical and very beautiful!
